You can use on it on your watch. And so, like for me, I like to walk around and I like I stumble across things that I like to mark and you can just mark them on your watch instead of pulling your phone out.
SPEAKER_02Dude, that'd he he'd be sneaking in. No. Dude, that's actually so. Yeah, don't let me find your duck.
SPEAKER_03I will mark it.
SPEAKER_02Is mine on?
SPEAKER_03It sounds like I don't know, I sound real quiet too. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Can you try to mine up just to such? Hang on. Oh. Hello.
SPEAKER_03Oh, there it is. Hey, that sounds a whole lot better. Sorry, guys. Her sound guy's slacking.
SPEAKER_01The uh the little slap, the faders got I actually used the correct word.
SPEAKER_02No, you know how useful that would be? Like let's just say you're walking around by a meter or something or out on the river on a refuge or something. You don't want to risk pulling out your phone. Your watch is right there.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. You know, you cause because all your buddies are watching you singing if you're pinning their location. That too. You can be sneaky with it. Don't do this to your friends, guys.
SPEAKER_03I mean you could. You'd be like, just click. But maybe they listen too, and so they'll.
SPEAKER_02Dude, that's uh this is insider trading knowledge for everybody out there listening.
SPEAKER_04I don't even know if we can never mind.
SPEAKER_01What? Fuck it. Say it. If not, we'll cut it out. No, I well, I don't I don't want to bash like Onyx. I think there's a lot of really cool things about it, but do you really think it's better for the hunting community to have that? Like with all the names on the uh which I mean you can still find it out, but you used to have to go down to the courthouse and get maps and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_03There's a there's a couple that's more accessible. There's a couple of new newer apps than onyx. Like Hunt Wise. Like Huntwise is on there.
SPEAKER_02Uh I never downloaded those apps, but I've always wanted to see it.
SPEAKER_03I know I know someone who does have it, and it's got some cool features on it. Like, but I I don't know. I mean, if you try it and if it fits you better than Onyx, I'm kind of fine with Onyx right now, anyways.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean But I remember back earlier on when like this was before Onyx was ever even a thing or anybody knew about it or anything. There was this app that I had on my phone. It was like a hunting app, and you could mark your locations on a map almost exactly like Onyx. This now this was like ten years ago or so, maybe even longer.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but it probably didn't show you like it may have shown you public to private, but it probably didn't list all the private. Oh, no, no, it didn't do all that.
SPEAKER_02No, it literally just would you would place a pin, basically, and that was it. It was back basically almost like using automatic.
SPEAKER_01If they want to put my name on owning property, but like all my information to be able to figure out how to reach me, I don't really that that just kind of I don't think I really want to.
SPEAKER_02But here's the thing. Here's public knowledge because all you gotta do is just go on the internet and look at the internet.
SPEAKER_01I mean no, but it drives me nuts during like during snow goose season or something like that. All these out of the staters like just calling, or either us or our landlords, and then our landlords are calling us, like, hey, what do you think about no, don't just don't you know. Uh yeah.
SPEAKER_03I mean, yeah, it's public knowledge, but they're making it so much easier.
SPEAKER_00But I feel I feel like you should be able to opt out of that. I think you can't you can appeal that with them and to where they'll take it off.
SPEAKER_02Take your name off of it. Yeah. All right, so not like how your name's still gonna be. I don't know. They might still put your name off.
SPEAKER_01Public information on how to reach this person.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01All right, so let's take or even like because I mean there is always a mailing address on it. That's the only thing that Onyx puts on there, I think is like where it's your tax address, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. Yeah. It doesn't have like your email, or not email, but you know, like yeah, it don't have that either.
SPEAKER_03But I don't think I've seen any phone numbers on it. But I hadn't really looked either.
SPEAKER_01But one thing that does irritate me though, because I know where property lines are because I've been on these farms. And on X is not accurate when it comes to the process. Especially in our area. Yeah. It's like it's literally like 50 yards off towards the east. And in my area at least. Yeah. And so I mean, like, whenever y'all, if you're on X hunting or going on a piece of property, oh, this is a proper line. Don't always trust it. All right. Most of the time there's a good levee there, or there's a tree line, and that's probably the problem. Yeah, like if there's just a weird line out in the middle of the field, look at your surroundings, because it's probably on a tree line or a yeah, there's there's there's a pretty definite.
SPEAKER_03I mean, everything around here is set up on a grid pattern. I can I could go down a rabbit hole on that and give you history. But it's a grid pattern. So let's fucking hear it. Well, it shifts. There's a shift point. So, like whenever they were doing the all the surveying, like it wasn't just one person doing it all, so they come from two different ways and met up. When they meet up, like the lines weren't exactly the same.
SPEAKER_01So, do you think grids are perfectly square because of the curvature of the earth? Fuck.
SPEAKER_03Whoa.
SPEAKER_01Think about it. Think about it. They can't be perfectly I mean, even if it was just like a millis fraction of a degree, it would have to be off. Okay. Here we go.
SPEAKER_03Flat Earth is round.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm not flat Earth. I'm saying the earth is round. And then to be correct, it would have to be some degree off.
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna need another beer.
SPEAKER_01Do you not agree?
SPEAKER_03I dude.
SPEAKER_01Think about it, because I mean you're not high for this, man. That's a high. If you drew squares all over the earth, they would have to be on some kind of out of square to cover it.
SPEAKER_03I mean, I get what you're saying. I just don't want to think that hard about it, to be honest with you.
SPEAKER_01No, I mean, oh, I know. I like I'm I mean a circle, in order to cover a circle with you can't cover a circle with squares. Why not? Something would have to be, it may there may be a shit ton of squares, but somewhere is gonna have to be triangles or something.
SPEAKER_02Alright, so check this out. So check this out. If you put a ball in a box, that's a circle or a sphere, I guess.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but you have to empty if you have empty empty space in the box. Hold on, hold on.
SPEAKER_03Time out. Time out, time out. Colton said some of them have to be square. What? No, some of them have to be a rectangle.
SPEAKER_01I said some of them have a square. No, a rectangle isn't a square. I'm saying if you cover a ball with squares, some of them can be squares, but then you will have to fill the voids with out of square triangles or odd shapes and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_03We're gonna pause here. Not all property lines are straight lines.
SPEAKER_01No, no, definitely not.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm just saying if back in the day they just drew squares, they it wouldn't on earth. No.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah, I'm gonna let y'all talk about this because like y'all it probably doesn't matter.
SPEAKER_01Shit's hurting my head. It really probably doesn't matter in the grand school.
SPEAKER_03I think I was talking about how John did earlier. We're just none of us are on the same page. No, nobody really.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm just I I don't understand shit. So like I ain't got a dog in no fight kind of thing.
SPEAKER_03Jack said they just pay me to be here.
SPEAKER_02I mean, so yeah. How about this weather we're having, guys?
SPEAKER_03Uh it's about to storm.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, apparently it'll be possible. Well, Missouri's getting pounded with some bad weather right now.
SPEAKER_03It'll it look pretty rough looking to the north. Yeah. Northeast, yeah.
SPEAKER_01But they're saying that it's something. I haven't seen nothing on the radar, but apparently it's supposed to be building up here. Let's hope it's a good thing.
SPEAKER_03Is it here?
SPEAKER_02It's uh no, I mean it's saying rain.
SPEAKER_01From seeing rain, thunderstorm. But I mean, like, our wind speed that we've had all day today is is diminishing through the night. So I'm like, uh okay, I'll take more rain. Obviously, I don't want the radar.
SPEAKER_02Like nothing on the radar. I don't know. Hold on, I say that. Uh yeah, no, I don't see shit on the radar.
SPEAKER_01So I mean the humidity is pretty high. You could cut it with a knife today. Yeah. That wind was howling, especially this morning.
SPEAKER_02And then it's supposed to start tomorrow afternoon.
SPEAKER_03I thought it was supposed to start tonight or in the morning.
SPEAKER_02It there's a little bit of a chance tonight, a 30% chance.
SPEAKER_03What's it showing in the morning?
SPEAKER_02Uh at 1 a.m., 40%, nothing at in the actual morning time. Sorry, guys.
SPEAKER_03You're getting uh uh the forecast a week late. Nothing. Okay, yeah, this is our forecast. I know what I'm doing. I know what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we're all sitting here fucking like you're gonna be.
SPEAKER_01Sorry, guys, we're not doing this live.
SPEAKER_03I know what I'm doing in the morning if it's not gonna be raining. There you go. Yes, sir. Yes. And the wind's not blowing like it was this morning. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Dude, it was pretty wild today.
SPEAKER_02He got he got oh, oh, oh, oh, uh big news, everybody.
SPEAKER_01I got a fucking bait caster. Oh, yeah. And he's only spider webbed it once. Yeah. Is that is that the only time it's burdeness?
SPEAKER_03Burdeness. How many times did you cast it for you burden birdness?
SPEAKER_02Uh seven, probably. Oh, that's pretty good. Yeah. So I got I got this one. I mean, it it was called Cask King. Is the brand. I've been seeing it a lot lately. But like uh, yeah, I mean, I I I know it's kind of like a newer brand or something, but anyway, it was 20% off, and then I found a 10% discount code on that Wade Fish's dude that I've always watched on TikTok. Just, you know, crank that, you know, that dude. Old Coleman, old Smokey. Yeah, that that's yeah. Yeah, I know who you're talking about. Yeah. Anyways, so I got it for 30% off. Well, I still had to pay the shipping, no problem.$35.73.
SPEAKER_03You get screwed, but why? That's a high for shipping. How much for shipping?
SPEAKER_02No, the the real.
SPEAKER_03Oh. That's how much of that. That was the total.
SPEAKER_02No, that was total.$35.73.
SPEAKER_01No, that's not bad. No, that's not bad at all.
SPEAKER_02But like, you know, Kungfoot is our in-house bass expert.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. For everybody who doesn't know. I saw him rip that rod and reel out of your hand. Yeah. He'd be like, motherfucker, give this to me. And he he was showing you how to strip that bird nest.
SPEAKER_02He told me exactly how to do it because I was just like, hey, dude, like, I was sitting there holding it, I was like, hey, like, I'm I'm literally like, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_03Hey, so how do you do it? Because I I don't think I know the right way.
SPEAKER_02So like you press down on the button in the middle and you let it go, and then right before it hits the water, press down on the button.
SPEAKER_03I'm talking about getting a bird nest.
SPEAKER_02Oh, you just uh hit the button again and just start easily pulling out until it's out. Yeah. But you want to you want to get it. But it was so bad that I was just like, I don't know what to do. So he taught me this trick. He was like, all right, now do it over.
SPEAKER_03Pull from the top, not like pull the line.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you pull out, you pull out from the top like you're getting the line out of it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, you want to like loosen it and then try to pull it a little bit, loosen it.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's the way I try and do it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But he uh he showed me this way to do it because I've been I was sitting out there pulling for a good five minutes, probably, Colton, maybe not that long, but I was I was pulling for a minute.
SPEAKER_01It felt like an hour to him.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_03I just want to catch a fish.
SPEAKER_02Well, the thing is, it's like my second cast that I did with it, I fucking missed a fish. So it pissed me off. Like I felt it swallowed, and then I tried to rear back, and then yeah, fucked me. Uh like Patrick said earlier, the little do the little Michael Jackson, like you know, like when you're reeling, you get a get a basket.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_03See, we just need to like just set that up right there. Just perfect. And just let it roll. I'll if it quits, I'll I'll hit record again.
SPEAKER_02No, but he he taught me the saying. He was like, all right, when it when it's like doing this, he was like, just take it, start reeling it real tight, and just kind of like put your thumb on it good, your other thumb on it good, and it'll get tight. And he had it fixed, and I shit you not less than 10 seconds. And I was like, fuck me. I was like, he is he's the bass dude. I mean, like, if y'all come up to Rich and Tone Calls or Flying Duck Tap Room, come it and you want to you want to meet somebody to see the bass guy Monday through Monday through Thursday. Yeah, Monday through Thursday. Just so you know. Yeah. Just so you know.
SPEAKER_01It don't work on Fridays. I want to see the bass guy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he's fishing on the weekends. Yeah, but because Patrick's been helping me build up like my just he got me a rod, so now I I have like an actual rod, and I put that new uh the new bait caster on it and stuff, and then Coonfoot. They everybody back there has been like extremely helpful. Like I I've always fished, but I've never liked fished or anything. And I've just kind of really grown fond of being outside and just fishing lately. So it's just like it's something it's something fun to do. It's still outdoors, it's peaceful.
SPEAKER_01I mean now you're gonna have to bass fish from a boat though.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Or a kayak.
SPEAKER_01They're pretty good. Like at a legit bass fishing place. Oh, you're talking about like getting a bass boat and shit? No, no, no. I'm not talking about you. I'm just saying we need to take you somewhere. Oh, yeah. This would be for their chance.
SPEAKER_02I know they've been catching them on uh uh whatchamacallit, uh Hamilton lately. Yeah. Some of them I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Hamilton's probably water's probably still coming up. Yeah. Maybe. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I don't know, but I mean I've seen like uh like uh Bo Browning, he caught some on there, like uh I guess I don't know how to explain Lucas Murray, but he lives there and uh like he he's big into bass fishing too. He had a son, or he had a kid, or whatever, and for a while he he didn't fish or anything, not really. And then now that his kids getting older and stuff and can go with him, he's been doing it a lot more.
SPEAKER_01I haven't seen that dude since high school.
SPEAKER_02Did y'all went to high school together? Really? Yeah. He was kind of like it's a good way to say this, man. He was kind of like my uh one of my mentors, kind of like in my high school years. Like because we both bowled and we bowled a lot of tournaments together. So like every weekend almost me and him were either out of town, out of state, traveling to go bowl, but everything. He's pretty cool, dude. He taught me a lot. I mean, as far as like f fishing's not really it's probably the cheapest thing.
SPEAKER_03Fishing is something I probably do the most of over you know, uh hunting, but there's only so much hunting you do.
SPEAKER_01Like I I fish a lot, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Comparatively.
SPEAKER_01But there's no seasons for fishing. You can exactly fish. You can go yeah, any time. If you were really thinking about something to survive off of, if that ever moment came, fishing's probably the thing. But in saying that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but you can't have too much because there's like something that like you you need like protein or something. But I mean, yeah, you could survive off of it. Fish aren't protein. No, no, no, it's not it's not protein that I'm it's like some type of thing that they have, like uh you can't eat too much of them. Right. Yeah. I think you you have to like you can have to be.
SPEAKER_03Like just a hundred percent diet of fish would be not good for you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, exactly. Well, lucky for us, there is somethings in season always in Arkansas. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But in saying that, fish, going back to not being that expensive, like I do it the most, and I probably it's probably the one sport that I spend the least amount of money on. Because an Ozark fishing pole from the Walmart works pretty good. Yeah. Like a$25 fishing pole and a little tackle box and a few baits, and you can fish.
SPEAKER_01Like it's in for$50. Well, the little TikTok videos of the dude that made the koozie with the little rear line. You can literally fish. I mean, if you have something to wrap line around, uh-huh, you can fish with that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, uh okay. Have y'all ever seen the videos like the talking about a rabbit hole scrolling and shit? Yeah, or doom scrolling.
SPEAKER_01Hey guys. Oh, yeah. Welcome back. Because I mean, we're getting in the conversation. But uh hey guys, thank y'all for tuning in. Uh, just want to throw it out there. Hey, uh remember to uh like, subscribe, share this with your friends. Uh you see our post or whatever, or if you listening to the podcast, share it to your story on Instagram. That helps us out, get new listeners. Uh if if if y'all are our friends. Trace you, fat man. I'm sorry. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_03Almost passed out.
SPEAKER_01I promise if y'all are if y'all enjoy listening to us, I'm sure there's some of y'all's friends that enjoy listening, would lit love listening to us as well. So uh share that with your friends on Instagram, wherever tag us in it, and that way we know you're listening along, and uh we can keep you up to date with everything. Uh, we try to post every uh on Instagram and stuff to kind of let y'all know we're in here every single week now. We're back at it. Don't doubt our back. We're here every single week now, and we're posting them every Sunday night so you can listen with us on Monday because we are those guys that drink beer on Monday, and we call ourselves Monday Beers. Not Monday. It was much better than mine. If you haven't listened to last week's podcast, I had a little bit of a funny moment while I was editing. It was uh it was priceless.
SPEAKER_02I know it was priceless. We me and you both could have literally listened to it on the way home yesterday, and we didn't even fucking think.
SPEAKER_03You know, this isn't the first time that we've made that drive and tried to listen to it. No, it's not really.
SPEAKER_01If it would be awkward.
SPEAKER_03Why?
SPEAKER_01Well, I don't have to listen back to it because I edit it. Yeah. But okay, maybe it's different for y'all.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it it it's different for me.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I don't listen to every single one of them. I won't I used to, but I won't lie. I just uh if I think like, hey, that was really good. I I really want to see how it played. Yeah, play it back.
SPEAKER_02Like also we did last week. I actually had a really not that I don't always have a good time, but it was just a really fun one to do.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I think it I think it is good to listen back to it. Like well, I do it while we're editing it. And I go like, shit, why do I talk so much sometimes? Or yeah, back off. I learn or something listening. Especially when we used to be a little bit more. So I understand why y'all want to listen to it, but I'm saying, like, if we were all three sitting together and we were like, oh yeah, hey guys, listen to this, and we were sitting there listening to ourselves while people are around us. No, I will not do that.
SPEAKER_02Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, but I mean it was me and him in the vehicle all day. I say all day, three hours, three and a half hours.
SPEAKER_03So I mean, right at three. What we left at left at about eleven, stopped at eight, and we're here by three o'clock.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we got here about three or so. Yeah, we stopped at eight to play some Batesville, a little Mexico. Mexican jar. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Dude, that's his mind's a lot better than mine.
SPEAKER_02Mine, I'm gonna straight up say it was not good because I fuck up every time and I never think about it. But like everything on the menu just didn't really sound good in the moment, and the only thing that I really sounded good was tamales, but everybody knows what a tamale is supposed to look and taste like. But anytime you go to like a Tex-Mex restaurant or Mexican restaurant, it's never the tamales you get from some abuela down the road. You know what I mean? It's just not as good. Who? Abuela. Some abuela down the road. Yeah, like somebody's grandma down the road, man. It's just not as good. Like uh, you know, I I just I that's I like the authentic tamales. I think everybody's yeah, but like the ones that you can just get, and this is this, I I will say this, this goes for any Mexican restaurant I've ever been in and had their tamales. They're not good.
SPEAKER_03I've well you'd think at some point you'd quit ordering the tamales at a Mexican restaurant. I'm just saying. Yeah, yeah, I know. Who's that? Madison.
SPEAKER_02Oh boy. Y'all could continue talking.
SPEAKER_03Oh, it's a good tracker booty.
SPEAKER_00Used it, you haven't hooked it up. Fuck. Oh, I forgot. Shit. Still setting in the fruits in my chicken.
SPEAKER_02I didn't go home yesterday. I just stayed, I just stayed in town. I went over to yeah, Thomas isn't here. But so uh yesterday, whenever we got back, I just went to my mom's house because my ride was here in town. I work here in town. I live outside of town. So I was just like, I called Thomas and I was like, hey, bud, what you up to? And he was like, not shit. I was like, cool thing. I got a lot of Sunday beers. So uh I just went over to his house. We had a couple beers and I stopped Taco Bell, got me some little grub for the end of the night, and went to my mom's house, passed out. So yeah, definitely did not go home to do anything.
SPEAKER_03We keep saying getting back. For those of you wondering, me and Jackson went on another turkey adventure. And let's just say we're not very good at this. No.
SPEAKER_02All right.
SPEAKER_03So I'll start off with the I want I want ducks and geese back.
unknownMan.
SPEAKER_01But it sounds like you just need to go with somebody else. Well, maybe. It's not a bad idea. At all. A-Rod went with somebody else and he killed on the first day, right?
SPEAKER_02Alright, you got me there. You got me there. A-rod texted me this morning. He was like, man, should I should I go hunting? And I was just like, Yes. I was like, I mean, yeah, why not? I mean, it's windy, but I mean, fuck it. He was like, I guess I'm just gonna stay at work. And I was like, dude. Okay. I mean, like, it I'm telling you, if I'm thinking deciding between work and going hunting, going hunting every fucking day.
SPEAKER_03But I mean, he texts you with that question for the specific he knew what answer you were gonna give him. Like, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I mean, hey, broski's uh A-Roy's trying to go like full-blown like Instagram famous realtor.
SPEAKER_02Hey man, he's fucking kicking out. He is kicking out. Uh, who's doing his editing? I don't know. I mean it's cool.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's not bad looking. I think they have someone.
SPEAKER_02Do they have some? They probably do. They probably do. Yeah. That's a big company he works for.
SPEAKER_03So I mean, I think they've got a whole marketing team and everything. Yeah, or maybe just a person. I I really don't know. I hadn't talked to him about it too much. Well, I hadn't either the last week or so.
SPEAKER_01If you need some property in Arkansas, call up everybody A-Rod. Yep. Alex Rodgers.
SPEAKER_03He'll get some good duck. Don't call up there and ask for A-Rod. No, no, no. But you can find him. Use his government name. Yeah, Alex.
SPEAKER_01They probably already know who you're talking about, though, if you called up to probably.
SPEAKER_02But, anyways, uh, no, we we went up to the hills here in Arkansas, and uh, you know, man. Sometimes, sometimes it was storming. It's so we me and Trey got there at like what, 10 or 11, 10 o'clock? About 10, 10. 10 o'clock Thursday night. And uh what time did y'all leave here? No, we didn't leave till like 6:37, something like that.
SPEAKER_01That's right, because you came out there and had a beer after work.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and then we uh uh we still had to make a couple pit stops, and then we stopped at Cersei and got Chick-fil-A. Pretty fucking good, not gonna lie to you. Did that. We got up there. I mean, it was smooth sailing the whole way, other than other people on the fucking road. Man, I was fucking thank God I ain't got a fucking drive high.
SPEAKER_03Jackson looked over me, he's like, these people just want to get in wreck. It was like the third or fourth one that pulled out in front of me. One of them. Like on the highway on the four-lane highway, just people pulling out. There was one guy on a two-lane that like blew past me. He had to be doing every bit of 90. Oh, yeah. And then literally got over in front of me, hit the brakes, turned into a driveway. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That was the first thing. That was the first thing. We were like, like, we weren't even that.
SPEAKER_03We didn't even make it to we hadn't even had Chick-fil-A, so I was hungry and not very happy. I might have said some words.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we were still, I was like, what the fuck just what what just happened? Like, and like, it's not like the dude jumped out of his truck and ran into the house. He just pulled up and was driving.
SPEAKER_03Maybe it's an emergency and needs to get in there. No, he drove as slow as could be down that gravel driveway.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. We watched him pull up, put it apart. I was like, what the fuck's going on? Anyways, yeah. So we went up there and Friday, it was like storming its ass off. Yeah, Friday morning.
SPEAKER_01I loved Friday though. Here in the house. Hey, it was sat on the back porch, listened to the rain. I mean, I've been waiting for the rain to hit.
SPEAKER_03It was nice up there. You could hear it, it was hitting it. Tin roof. Yeah, boy, it was. And I sat on the porch for a little bit, watched it rain, and went inside.
SPEAKER_01Well, there for a little while I couldn't sit on the back porch because the wind was so bad. Yeah, it was just blowing in on it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we and we had done we did we did we all got up except for me on time because I was about to say everyone was still up at five o'clock.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. We all were up early and stuff, but like drinking coffee, talking about how we wish we had something to make breakfast with.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because I mean everybody got up there really late and there wasn't nothing there to make breakfast or nothing, so we had to wait for everything to open and stuff. And so we were sitting there hanging out. Yeah, I mean, it was just four dudes there, so I mean it's like you know, it's camp. Anyways, finally we rode around for a while and stuff, just looking, just chilling kind of thing. Rode over to the lease, rode over here and there, just seeing what everybody else was up to that morning since it was raining and shit. Talked to, you know, hanging out. And then finally the rain started slacking off. We eased back to the house. Everybody pretty much well already had their shit on, ready to rock and roll. And me and Trey went and we sat there what probably an hour.
SPEAKER_03I don't want to tell this whole story. I really don't. Okay, we ain't got to. Not to the public. Okay, we ain't got to. I'd rather get made fun. I mean, I'll tell you if you come up to us and ask, we'll tell you. But we didn't kill. I'm not proud.
SPEAKER_02We didn't fire any shots. It's not like we missed or nothing.
SPEAKER_03Long story short, we moved sooner than we should have. Yeah. And the bad part about it is we come back to where we were and thought we were back on them, but it was them leaving.
SPEAKER_02So more of the story is uh a few podcasts ago or whatever, I was talking to y'all about this outside, you know. When they start gobbling at you, just set the fuck still and be patient. So that's that's what it comes down to.
SPEAKER_01I would have done the same thing, though. I mean, yeah, I already know. Well, so like I've been watching, I'm I mean, I think it's our uh I think collectively we have the ADHD of actually like medically instituted people collectively.
SPEAKER_03Oh no, I've been diagnosed. I used to be in medicine for it. I probably shouldn't be.
SPEAKER_01Uh Shanglist is like, I got it, but uh I ain't I ain't like we all I think we all got it, so it's like we get a little anxious and we do things fast for and and turkey hunting sounds like a very it can be a slow-paced thing.
SPEAKER_03Slow-paced or a fast thing.
SPEAKER_01Like more like deer hunting rather than duck hunting.
SPEAKER_03Well, and after after that scenario, we got I guess you could say like kind of gun shy. We should have moved on Saturday and we didn't. Yeah. And I think we uh we both knew we should have moved and we talked about it.
SPEAKER_02And it's just but I will say this whenever me and him sat down Saturday morning, I I looked over at him and I was like, I'm gonna be surprised if we don't kill this morning. Because I mean, when I say we had covered we had turkeys gobbling in every fucking direction from us, like every fucking direction. And like I mean, it kind of made sense.
SPEAKER_03We've got a lot of options. Yeah. Like something's gonna come this way.
SPEAKER_02And we had a hen right out ten yards from us. Oh, yeah. And then she ended up going to the some some other gobblers behind us. Yeah. Could have been a slingshot. Yeah, I mean, and then we had another hen come out and she went the same way the other one did. So I mean it's kind of like it was one of those things that damned if you do, damned if you don't, more or less. I mean, it was, but Friday did we make a bad judgment call? Yes. Sure. Yeah, we did. But I mean, that's hunting. You know, I mean, you anybody can do that at any given point in time. Does it still suck balls to do it? You be the one to do it? Yeah, it fucking sucks. That's the that's the only way to explain it. Like, I mean, it'll make your heart ache so damn bad, like, holy shit.
SPEAKER_03Well, well, here's my outlook on it. As a as a first year, and I mean, we're not and it'll my first year. Yeah. You know, as a first year, everyone has told me you're gonna be addicted. And they said then they started saying, if you ever kill, you're gonna be addicted. Well, part of me's already kind of addicted to it, and I haven't killed anything. Yeah. It's just the game of it.
SPEAKER_01You may not be addicted after you kill.
SPEAKER_03The g the game of it is. I might not be. But that's not my worry. I'm worried that if or I'm not if when I do, because I'm not gonna quit till I do, yeah, I'm gonna be fully addicted. And I I was thinking about that all day today.
SPEAKER_02It is a classical game of cat and mouse with turkeys. And it's a it's a game I love to play.
SPEAKER_01Like this is time like it sounds like y'all had one day that was kind of like deer hunting, and then the next day y'all should have been more so turkey hunting in my world, duck hunting, going after where they're at. Yeah. Like, but also like man, that's years of experience. Whenever you have two days that are totally different, yeah. Like when do you make those actions?
SPEAKER_02I mean, like, don't get me wrong, I've done it for a few years or s or so, but I'm not like extremely experienced or anything. You know what I know the basics and what you are and not supposed to do kind of shit, but like I mean, just listening to people talk, do what I'm told, kind of thing, that type of experience.
SPEAKER_03I and I mean like I think the biggest thing, like biggest thing that's really got me hooked on it right now, anyways, is I'm learning something new. Something I've never done. I've I've hunted the same areas in the same species for so long. Yeah. Fished pretty much the same waters for so long. Like it's routine at this point, kind of thing. I mean, not routine, but well, it's hard to say I don't know what to do.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. Yeah, because you mean you're in a new world.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's uh it's completely different. And so I mean, this like everything is a learning curve. Yeah, it is.
SPEAKER_02And uh I don't know, that's I I will say like I'm not like I'm not I'm I'm trying to get better at it as far as being the hardcore type, I guess, or whatever. That's like when we me and you got back Saturday morning, Johnny straight up goes, Holy shit, I cannot believe that you stayed until 11 o'clock. He was like, I I don't know how, because I've never done that before. Uh never in my life. Other than with you You didn't want to do it that day. I did not. I did not, not it fucking all. But you know, I mean, I we did, and I mean it was I'm glad we did, you know, just because I I I just but I did start getting that feeling that if we got up like we did the previous afternoon, that that same shit was gonna happen. We were gonna be like, dang, wish we would have stayed sitting longer.
SPEAKER_03Well, that's the thing for me. Like this time of year, especially when it's not just real hot, it's a nice day. Yeah. Oh, I sit out there all day.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and and I mean and I get it, I get it, but it that also comes in with me just like holy shit, sitting still kind of thing. You know, I'm just I'm not the best at it. I'm trying to get better at it, but it's like it's one of those deals like like Trey, yeah. Go ahead and tell the story about me eating my leg.
SPEAKER_03Uh Jason's got this thing with his leg. Oh, it pisses Maddie off all the time. Oh, it's always it normally I know he's always done it, shaking that leg. He always does it. But when you're sitting in a blind trying to be quiet, let's be quiet, isn't it?
SPEAKER_02And then you hear that foot over there just and I I can't really Jackson.
SPEAKER_03What? I said, Your leg. What about it? It's stop. Could you hear it? I was like, yes. It sounded like you were trying to tap dance. I don't know. I don't know how to explain it.
SPEAKER_01Fucking Mr. Dumper over there.
SPEAKER_03It sounded like a dog when the dog gets to scratching itself, hitting the floor in the house, and it just rattles everything. Yeah, that's what it sounded like.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, I mean it. There was a there was a couple times. Like I felt like maybe, maybe even Saturday morning, me me and you would have got up and moved. Maybe hindsight 2020. If we would have got up and moved and just walked back there maybe 50 yards, maybe we would have killed.
SPEAKER_03It's so easy. It's so easy to look back and go, we should have done this. Yeah. I mean But I mean, that's that's where you're learning things. Like in this scenario, and like I kind of had that thought before it was too late. I think the first time I thought that it would have been the right time to move. But not having that experience and not knowing like I need to act on that, like I get it.
SPEAKER_01But I would say in that scenario with turkeys, second scenario.
SPEAKER_03It's a different we hadn't told you this story. This was on Saturday.
SPEAKER_01Well, moving. I'm talking about with moving or not. And in scenario of turkeys. I from an outsider looking in, I don't know nothing. I'm not a turkey hunter. I would say you have to stick to the something and do it all the time. Because if it if it changes that frequently. I mean, you know.
SPEAKER_03I kid you no.
SPEAKER_02No, no, no, I mean, no, it's not a bad theory at all. It's just literally fucking it's man, what's the best way to explain it? It's a fucking long shot cable, no matter what you do.
SPEAKER_01Well, the reason why I say that is I mean, I mean, really. Ducks, ducks can be the same way. Like I can be, if I have four or five fields stacked up right around me, and I pick, I'm like, all right, I'm gonna go here because of wind, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then all of a sudden, that day, or even geese, they just which geese are hard because you gotta move the whole freaking big spread. Like ducks is you can move a little bit quicker. Right. But ducks are but also ducks can be very short-lived. But also, geese can be short-lived too, as far as how when they're moving and how fast. But I'm more of a chaser. Like, if I sit there and if it ain't happening when I think it's supposed to be happening, I always go and sometimes I get burnt on it, and sometimes it works out.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know, but in my customers' eyes, well, I'm always looking in my customer's eyes like at least I tried something different. Because it wasn't working in the other spot. But so I just say I always stick with one thing, like I move. I do that. But I know turkeys are completely different. So I mean, I I don't I don't really know how to explain it.
SPEAKER_03I don't know it well enough to explain it. It's a I can tell you is what idea.
SPEAKER_02Y'all let me know if I'm I mean it's a I mean it's a gamble, really. I mean, expect like like for all these people going and hunting public and shit, it's a hundred percent gamble. Like, I mean, they can say they got one roosted and shit like that. Yeah, sure, you might, but it's still a fucking gamble because you're going in there on public with other fucking people in there too, who just say that bird didn't get jumped up earlier, or you know, anything. It literally it's it's a it's a gamble no matter what you're doing. Hell, I've been I've been walking into the woods in the morning by myself and having uh I mean think it was a hen, and I kind of knew right around where she had been staying at and shit, because I knew I uh kind of had an idea where Ness was, and I I jumped on going in one morning by myself. I was walking down the hill and just you know, it was still pretty dark out, and all I hear is I mean, it sounded like damn B-52 coming over my fucking head, and you can just barely see his silhouette kind of already gliding down the mountain almost. I mean, you're just like, oh shit. Didn't mean to do that, you know. I mean, it's just shit like that that can happen that'll affect the hunt all around. I mean I will say it's probably I'm I'm way more addicted to it as far as going turkey hunting than I am any other waterfowl. I personally am. It's not a waterfowl. It's very enjoyable.
SPEAKER_03It's a rut. Man, when they gobble, dude, it's a fucking rut.
SPEAKER_00I mean, still the best way it's I can see it because you have to have you have to have you're addicted to the tactics of fulfilling that.
SPEAKER_01Whereas waterfowl might seem easier to you. Maybe because you've already learned the tactics of waterfowl. Yeah. So you're like, but you already know them. That doesn't mean that you it doesn't take any more tactics. Yeah. It's just you're learning the tactics. Right.
SPEAKER_03That's what I was just saying. I mean, you get so minute to you get so minute to hunting, I mean, we've all hunted ducks and geese for a very long time. Yeah, I mean we were born and raised. We were born and raised doing it, so it's almost like it's second nature to you. Like if this isn't working, you know what your next step is. And like I said, I fished basically the same waters born and raised. So now I'm stepping foot into something that I have absolutely no idea about, and everyone I talk to, I'm trying to absorb as much information and you know, people that have been doing it longer than me. And in the moment you're trying to use what you've been told and taught like that's probably the most fun for me right now.
SPEAKER_02I will say I I thought that was kind of cool to get to take Trey up there with me, but for the simple fact that he knew everybody that's in the camp pretty much since he was a little kid.
SPEAKER_03So I mean, like most of them down there knew me since I was before I was born.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So it's kinda i I knew that would be cool for you because I mean, that's your people and stuff, and like you just said, you're learning from people he like already knows. It's not like some dick and Jerry's coming up to him telling him something.
SPEAKER_03The same people that were there were the same ones that I was learning how to hunt ducks with. They were on the duck hunts. They were on the rabbit hunts. I mean or fishing or whatever. It was the same ones that were yeah, dad was teaching me, but they were there too, so they're teaching too, and I mean, so you're and it's just easy to get information and you have to I think that's like anything.
SPEAKER_01You go on a you go on a trip somewhere, a new location, you know, you go on vacation, you've never been in this country before or state before. You analyze everything. Oh yeah. I mean, even like in America though, you go to a lot of places and there's things that Arkansas has here. You're like, oh, that's in Arkansas. But you go somewhere else, it's like, oh, this is amazing. Right. So if you're having a new experience, you're obviously gonna just take in. Like any any good learning person, if you're not a good learning person, you might as well you might as well just get yourself out for you. Don't drive worse for it. Like you but I love all through your life, you should be learning something, or you're just not doing enough. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but you should be constantly taking in the information. I mean, I I even still talk about I I at least talk about your bachelor trip once a week to somebody just because like it was something new to do that you haven't done that I've never done before, and I had to basically learn how to do it on the trip, and I had a fucking blast.
SPEAKER_01And like uh I was just like, damn, like that is like it's when you're hooked, but I get it because as far as the way we did it, it was like one of the most simplest things ever. But I thought it was badass. But it was something new, and it was fun, and it was back to back to back.
SPEAKER_03Once you figure out that bath that bait caster, yeah, we're gonna get you a fly rod. Bro, this will be comical as dude. Dude, listen, it might not be as funny as you think it is. I mean, actually, depressing um that is a hook whizzing by his head.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like why the fuck do you want to do that? That if you can just use a damn spinning rod.
SPEAKER_01No, but you don't understand. Why is laying on the top of the water? No. No. It's just completely different. Like, bro, it's just yeah. No. The way you cast it and the way you lay it out there, and then there's more of an art to it. In in fish terms that you would know, like brim and stuff like that, laying it out there. But you brim are a little bit more forgiving than trout.
SPEAKER_03Trout, you have to like you cannot slap the water.
SPEAKER_01You can't do they just they're like not the same thing.
SPEAKER_03When you're fishing trout, it's clear water. Around here, catching passive crappie, but it's muddy water, so they can't really see as good in all your actions. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but brim are also dumb as fuck. I've had them hit my floating line. My uh what are the like hit the actual line. Not the leader, the uh shit. We're not very good fly fishmen, we don't even know the terms, but uh what's that called? It is your fly line, and then your leader, and then your float line or your fly line. Fly line.
SPEAKER_03What did y'all call the bobber the other day? The coolest.
SPEAKER_01Strike indicator. It's an indicator, but guys, let me tell you. Four stuck two stuck art.
SPEAKER_03You see, we call it a bobber, okay? Yeah you should have seen the look we got in the fly shop when I said something about oh, they got bobbers.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. We do not get off that deep in that, okay? So whatever.
SPEAKER_02Who had that subscription box? Which is you or not? Colton. And like he's it was I think it might have been the other Monday when we recorded, I think. Maybe not. I hell, I don't remember. Anyways, we're all sitting out there and he showed him and Trader looking at it because you know they're just goo-goo over that shit. And I was like, I go, oh man, that's a cool looking cork. And they both look at me, strike indicator. I was like, all right, how about I get fucking bit over here? I mean, my God.
SPEAKER_03It was just a perfect opportunity.
SPEAKER_01It's actually really cool because I mean, you you take fly tying is actually what's the coolest part about it. Dude, like, well, I think they're on TikTok. You watch people do badass. They try to make the most realistic thing because of trout. Yeah. But it's fun to use those things because you're like, oh hell, this looks like a a dragonfly or something landing on the water. And then you use it for brim or crappie or any and even like some of the sinking stuff that they use for crappie, or not crappie, trout, it actually looks like a jig for crappie. Yeah. So I've tried to use it on the bug. I've actually cross-referenced that stuff to make it work for me here locally whenever I can't go trout fishing or something.
SPEAKER_03But I mean with those with trout fishing, like you're looking at what bugs are hatched, like what bugs are sitting on top of the water is what you're trying to imitate because that's what the trout are eating. Okay.
SPEAKER_01You know those little beetles that swarm up, swim all over on the water. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Every once in a while you see something pop up at them. Like there's ties that look like those little beetles. And then you just kind of like twitch them every once in a while, make them look like they're square.
SPEAKER_03You're imitating bugs or bug larva or something like that.
SPEAKER_01So much fun though about that is is just watching them, especially if the water's just clear enough where you see when they start coming, start coming up, and you're like, oh, here it comes, here comes and then little brim or something. Oh man, little splash, the way they hit the surface is probably I don't know. I've never had a I haven't had a bass hit anything yet. Surface. Top water. Oh, yeah, you never caught one on topwater. But I mean, I know bass are pretty aggressive, but them brim, this is the way they they don't even come out of the water, but they spit water like so freaking far.
SPEAKER_03I like to get out there and catch them. I got like I use um I mean it looks like a piece of corn. It's just a piece of yellow styrofoam, basically. Or it's got a little tail on it or whatever. Oh, them brim love that thing. Really? Oh, as soon as it hits the floor. Fly fish in it? But there's also there's fly fish, you just lay it out.
SPEAKER_01There's also flies that are designed for brim crappie. Yeah, yeah. There is flies for that stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Like there's there's brim poppers that which they know you're gonna be throwing it a bunch, so it's actually like a solid painted piece of probably styrofoam or something. That way you don't have to put like because if you lose it use a lot of those feathers or hair flies, it'll start it'll start sinking on you eventually. But if you use like obviously some kind of foam or uh cork cork or it's obviously gonna stay floating through.
SPEAKER_02It's pretty cool. I remember when me so it was last year when me, you, Maddie, and Lauren were coming back from Nashville and we stopped at uh the Bass Pro Pyramid in Memphis, and we all went in there. Man, we walked around there for like what, two hours probably.
SPEAKER_01I kind of want to go stay there one night. I thought y'all stayed there last year. No, during uh during DU. My my parents in Carson and Kendall stayed. Oh I thought you stayed too. But I haven't stayed there yet. But I went into one of their rooms after dinner or whatever, and uh yeah, it was pretty bad as well. Well, it's like it it's probably worth staying in there. Like their rooms are like almost like uh a big cedar lodge. Kind of they're really nice. Oh wow, really nice inside that pyramid. Like, book it out and go fish the missile.
SPEAKER_03Oh it wouldn't be bad.
SPEAKER_02Bad at all, really. I mean, hell.
SPEAKER_01And then you get to get to shop after hours if you stay in there. Really? Do what? I see I wondered if hours for people that are staying at the hotel.
SPEAKER_02Oh you ain't gotta worry about fucking around with everybody else.
SPEAKER_01You can just go down there and you you can't.
SPEAKER_02And don't you get like uh priority like that?
SPEAKER_01I'm sure there are certain hours. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But you're in there basically by yourself, just with the people that are else who are staying at the hotel.
SPEAKER_03Don't you get like priority reservations for the restaurant?
SPEAKER_01Probably. I think so. Because I think dad got us in. We took uh John and Angie and Astall and Rusty and Jill to a restaurant up on top of the pyramid. And it probably reason why it got in, because that was a room.
SPEAKER_02So I'll be damned. Yeah, no, whenever we were uh there in the pyramid though, Colton, uh we had sat there and we had seen all the uh fly rods or the fly rods, the uh little baits in there, and I was like, man, what the fuck is this? The flies. And yeah, the flies, yeah. And and Colton's like, well, that's fly baits, because I picked them up and I was like, can you imagine doing inventory on these motherfuckers? I do remember saying that. Because like a lot of this has got broke awful.
SPEAKER_01It's so wild though. Some of those little uh what do they call them? Uh nymphs. The little bitty tiny nymphs. They catch like freaking massive trout.
SPEAKER_02Y'all have and there's the funniest fucking names.
SPEAKER_01No, that's what that's what it's a mayfly in water form.
SPEAKER_02Like they're larvae. Larva form. Oh, okay, okay, okay. It's a fly.
SPEAKER_01They're all flies. They're just they have different stages of there with the phone.
SPEAKER_02Was it mine? How about that?
SPEAKER_04All right, all right.
SPEAKER_02What were you just saying? Oh.
SPEAKER_03What? Uh uh. Have I told y'all about my tackle box?
SPEAKER_05Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Jackson knows. I know about it. You don't do it. Colton's probably gonna like it.
SPEAKER_01Oh, buddy, I've got the old school tackle boxes that get filled up with water every time they're in the world. Listen to this.
SPEAKER_03You're gonna be out there. We're gonna start off with a story. All right. Goes back to whenever Thomas flipped out of the kayak. In case I didn't tell y'all. Thomas flipped over out of a kayak. That was funny. Anyways. So I fish out of that kayak a lot, and I've always had, you know, those plastic tackle boxes that slip down in a bag and all grouped together? Yeah. Awesome design. Well, that kayak gets wet quite a bit. And like a lot of my stuff ends up getting rusted and all that. It's like, I need to find a way. They do make those little plastic things as a that have like water seals to where they're waterproof and all this.
SPEAKER_01Your bag still gets wet.
SPEAKER_03But the bag still gets wet. So I was trying to think of a better idea, a better design for this. And you know those Milwaukee packout boxes? They make them in a smaller form. I mean, they're probably about as wide as this board. I don't know how wide that is. Not that long.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's uh 20 inches. So like nine and a half by the same.
SPEAKER_03And so these boxes, like, you can get multiple of them and they will all lock together. Yeah. If you wanted to. Well, they make a low profile one that's like an inch and a half thick that is just perfect with the divider trays in it, and just like that. And it's it's weather, it's got a seal all the way around it, two latches. So I went and got some of them. And so here's my perfect setup. I got one that's a little deeper, probably three, four inches deep. You keep all of your hardware in there. All the stuff that you need every time you fish your line, your pliers, a knife, and stuff like that. And then you set up all them thin ones for whatever kind of fishing you want to do. I've got one set up for crappie. I've got one set up for bath. Um different different ones for baths, because I use a lot more when it comes to bath.
SPEAKER_01Crappie doesn't take up much space.
SPEAKER_03But and so if you want to take them off, you lock them all together and you take them all. If you want to just take one little thin thing, you just unlock it and take it. And it's fully water.
SPEAKER_01And pull what you need for the day.
SPEAKER_03No, it's absolutely perfect. And that's probably the most money I've ever spent on fishing. Let's be honest, th those pack-outs, they're not just as cheapest. I think that damned one's like 30 bucks. But if it lasts like it's supposed to, I mean, it's saving me money on all the shit that I was having to replace because it keeps getting rusted and not able to do that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, pliers.
SPEAKER_03I mean, about how much money you spend every time you try and fix or replace those. In the pack out? Yeah. So that's the only hiccup to it. There are companies, so it comes with like the thin one, it's got a long tray and then it's got four like square trays. And so there are companies that make different trays and different dividers for it. Because the square trays I wanted to divide into fours for different hooks and all of that. And they didn't have a four-way divider. I could order one instead. I just made one little glue. They do send like the one divider, and then you just cut the other one in half and glue it together. Works pretty good.
SPEAKER_01So that was my fix for it. In the fishing world, there is something like this. It's called the BuzzB. What is it? BuzzB.
SPEAKER_03Like what I'm talking about?
SPEAKER_01The UZB. And they they have some loadout boxes like that. Like that. For fishing that you can kind of change the shit. I figured someone came up with that.
SPEAKER_03It might be. I mean, do your research. I mean, if you find that a little bit cheaper. Make something yourself. I mean, that was just something like it popped into my head because I've got some of those packouts for my tools. Like, I've got one that one of those smaller ones that fits perfect behind my backseat for like stuff that I might like would need and always want to have with me. And I got a couple others that stay on the shot. But it was just it was all good. It was a good idea on the car.
SPEAKER_01I swapped over a while back. I am well, I am an e-baller, but not like on toolboxes. Oh, really? I don't buy toolboxes. I don't either.
SPEAKER_00I'm just talking about like I buy the cheapest toolboxes.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Those packouts are pretty cool. There's other companies that make games are similar. Playing the Rangers, and me and Michael are not there. Sorry to interrupt everybody. Normally we could me and I wouldn't say it every year. I wouldn't say anything. My bad. My bad. Took my headset off. I'm done. Fuck this podcast. No.
SPEAKER_01Well, we are unfortunately we are getting to that time. Well, what do you got to say, Trey? I didn't say that. Oh, okay. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_02Sorry. Sorry to live. Maybe in the parking lot.
SPEAKER_01I I gotta call out our listeners for a second. Hey, I think it was a few weeks back. We said, hey, anybody that you because we can do call-in guests, because I know this is off-season for us. Not a lot of people are coming down to Stuttgart. Yeah. If you have some guest ideas, message us in. I mean, there's a thousand to two thousand of y'all listening a week. Somebody's got some have some ideas of who y'all want to hear hang out with us, even if it's on the phone call. We're going to make them drink while they uh hang out with us on the phone call. All right. It's going to be the same kind of vibe. It might be a hair different, but it'd be the same vibe. So make it let us know ideas of who you want to listen, you know, hang out with us here on the podcast.
SPEAKER_02Message us on Instagram. Or you can message us all solely. You don't have to do it on Monday beers.
SPEAKER_01You can message any one of us. Yeah. Individually or uh just straight there on the uh Monday beers. That would make it easier. Instagram page.
SPEAKER_03Where we know what it's about. Everyone's spam down box with Sidney Sweeney. Do it for me.
SPEAKER_00The only single man.
SPEAKER_01The only single man of the group. I just realized that.
SPEAKER_02You're the only cousin you want to send Trey's place in your guys.
SPEAKER_03Don't send me your cousins. Don't do that. Fucking do it.
unknownDo it. Do it, do it.
SPEAKER_05Oh goodness.
SPEAKER_01God bless. Also, um, t-shirt ideas. Um uh Lauren's gonna have a booth here. We may have some Monday beer pipe. That way we can uh maybe get some cameras and stuff, start filming this thing. What do y'all think about that? So send in your t-shirt ideas if you got a funny something that you've heard along the way that you think that would make a funny t-shirt or something like that. Oh, yeah. That's a great idea. Yeah, I like that. Yeah, I mean, we obviously probably got just a normal logo T ideas and stuff like that, but it's something funny you heard along the way, obviously. Hey, more creativity the better. So that's it. That's it.
SPEAKER_02I mean, there's only so many of us, you know. It's everybody out there. There's a I know we have a lot of artistic people that listen to this too. So, I mean, you know, that we do. Yeah, I mean, that's shit. We're open to idea, open-minded. Which I what what I love about our duck the most is is we could doing that to me.
SPEAKER_01We could change him to be doing anything. Yeah. Yeah, we could make him like during the summer fishing. I even thought about like summertime. He could be like fishing or something. Like he's a character, right? He's a character.
SPEAKER_02Can he hold a cane and have a mustache like Charlie Chaplin? Okay, all right, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Let's fucking talk about this for a second before we get off here, guys. Let's let's figure this the fuck out. All right. Does Charlie Chaplin what can you really if you just glance at him? Can you spot the difference between his mustache and Hitler's? I mean, fucking hell. Think about it. Think about it. Alright, that's all I'm gonna say. I'll let you uh I'm gonna leave everybody with that. That's the last thing I gotta say tonight. Wow. Yeah. All right. Alright.
SPEAKER_01Damn.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah, exactly. There's more of it. It's more on its lip. Okay. I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_02Look up Adolf Hitler.
SPEAKER_03I mean, you know that was a style before Adolf wore it. I'm just saying, fucking look it up. Just look and look it up.
SPEAKER_02I'm aware. Yeah, I mean I'm aware. Yeah. The only difference is is Charlie Chaplin's was fuller.
SPEAKER_03So it looks like I have a horror movie.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that maybe it's not the same.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no. But I mean, if you glance.
SPEAKER_02No, huh? No, uh-uh, uh-uh. His never was. Not Charlie Chaplin's.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm talking about Hitler's came a little bit further out.
SPEAKER_02Maybe, maybe it did. But that's why I said at a glance there. At a glance, they kind of look like that's why I say it was.
SPEAKER_01You can't do that to even the old dead people. You can't do that. Like, you can't compare committed fucking war crimes and things. No, I'm talking about you can't you can't compare an innocent person to that. Oh, no, no. I'm sure it's probably a chapter of fucking innocent. I mean, we're all right. Because you decide to wear a shirt and then okay, somebody goes and commits a crime in that same shirt. With all the things that you want that to be tied back to you?
SPEAKER_03Ban the shirt with all the things that have come out. Like, I mean, of course, of course, Jackson is offended.
SPEAKER_01Okay. But all right. Alright. I'm just saying. Well, I mean, like, hey, there's there's YouTubers now. Like, there there was some kind of shooting, like uh there was a demolition ranch. I'm sure you've seen that guy's stuff. He just shoots guns, balls. No. You missed it. He actually retired from YouTube. I think it wasn't just a big thing. Oh, you gotta get on pepperbox. Oh, he he's doing something else now.
SPEAKER_03Get on pepper box. I actually missed it. Y'all ever heard of paper boxing porn website?
SPEAKER_01No. Honestly, most genuine way to actually grow on YouTube. I felt like he was a great guy. But he he loved guns, so obviously got a lot of backlash. But somebody um well, some they were it was some kind of shooting, but the kid was wearing a demolition shirt.
SPEAKER_02Really?
SPEAKER_01But obviously, he didn't condone that. Yeah, of course. So you can't you can't do that whole comparison thing like that. Don't do that. I wasn't I I wasn't exactly doing that. But you kind of were no.
SPEAKER_03Hey, it's a touchy subject for him.
SPEAKER_02Okay. No, I was just saying, like, I've always thought that they had the same style mustache. I mean, I'm not saying that they fucking did that. I'm not saying the mustache. If somebody wants to wear the mustache today, I don't give a shit. I mean, I'm just saying, like, I wouldn't think they were Hitler.
SPEAKER_01I'm just saying, but obviously if I walked into Mar with that mustache, you'd be like, ah, you know, it's gonna run.
SPEAKER_03It's gonna run.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I mean, honestly, that's probably the only person on the face of the planet that you could probably compare something to.
SPEAKER_02It's almost like what did Theo Vaughn say that one time? It's like, I mean, I don't say it unless you do. I mean, you know, it's like kind of like motherfuckers Hitler. You know what I mean? No. No, no, no. Oh, also, last minute uh thing that I wanted to put in here. Um, Burt Kreischer is coming to Arkansas, so guess what? Our fucking uh my fiance, your wife now, better buy us tickets for that because they surprised us for the Theo Vaughn. So, man, if they listen to this podcast, fucking surprise us. It's it's like right during the split of duck season, too. Fucking perfect fucking time.
SPEAKER_01Honestly, I think I want backstage patches because I think he's one of those motherfuckers to be like Let's party. I actually like you guys. Yeah. You don't think he's like that?
SPEAKER_03Nah, I just think it's a bad idea for Jackson to hang out with Burt Kreiser. What?
SPEAKER_01Oh, dude. Jackson. Jackson would try to become the machine. Oh, and yeah.
SPEAKER_03Oh, bud. We'd have we'd have the machine and little machine. I'd be over here.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Alright, guys. We're about to close this out with a toast. I think I got the toast tonight. Sweet. All right, here's to the adventures as we learn them. Man, we're we're learning every day. Don't ever stop like that.
